I couldn't relocate the furnace because of the ducting, and I was restricted on the laundry location due to the location of the drains.  There was a drain in the floor where I put the laundry, so that was a no-brainer.  In order to have some shooting space, the darkroom had to be located where I put it.  Also, I didn't want to get involved in tearing out walls.  These limitations put some constraints on the darkroom, like how do you get an object like a new washer through the darkroom to where you want it.  See the pictures of the darkroom to see how I did it.

NOTE: The sink drain is routed through the wall and into the floor drain.  The drain is close to the wall, so it's not a trip hazard.
