The male Lion and female White tiger in this shot have been together since they were cubs. Their owner wanted to breed white Ligers, but it didn't work out. Big Cat Rescue obtained them when they became too much for the original owner to care for. The Lion has had a vasectomy so there will be no offspring. I was told by our guide that if the Lion had been neutered, he would lose his mane and eventually go insane, so a vasectomy was the only choice.
