Lastly, the enlarging table.  It's 35" high, built of Oak plywood.  It has adjustable feet so it can be parallel with all enlarger axes.  It's not anchored so it can be slid out of the way, and it's heavy enough so it doesn't move easily.  Right now the mounting press rests there until I build a table for it in the rest of the basement.  See the "Improvements" page in this section for more details.  Below the press are shelves for drying screens, easels, and other items.  For making large prints, the top is removable.  The wood around the top is on the outside of the sides & back & locks the top in place.  The shelf below is 12" lower than the top and is parallel with it, so I can gain an effective 12" of column height.  This is more than enough for 20x24's or larger.
